Charity Wood (Bullon) was born on June 16, 1828, in Lawrence County, Mississippi, United States. Her parents were William Bullen and Naomi Amelia Meotake Bullen.

Charity married Absolum Andrew Jackson Wood on January 12, 1845, in Russellville, Franklin County, Alabama, United States. Together they had the following children:

• Verna Davis Clark;

There are different ways of spelling Bullen. Bullion was about the 1st. way of spelling it. There are 2 different date than what you have on her birth..

She has a sister, Martha Bullen Lindsey, buried, in an-unmarked grave, (rocks) just north of the rock enclosed graves.. She was married to William Carroll Lindsey. Possible that W. C. is also buried by her.

Charity's father fought in the War of 1812. He also fought in the Battle of New Orleans in 1858. He served in Captain William Smith's Company 13th. Regiment.
