About Charles Alexander Caradus

Buff Caradus was a talented Rugby Union player. He played for the North island against NSW in 1894 and against the South Island Team in 1897. He was also a Wellington Rep.

Buff was a Corporal in the NZ Mounted regiment in the Boer War and also saw action in WW1 at Messines, where he was Gunner with the New Zealand Field Artillery. He was wounded.
