Charles J. STONE

Friends are being received at the Volk-Jaycox Funeral Home, Fawcett St. and O'Neil Blvd., for Charles J. STONE, 417 Oliver Dr., White Oak, who died yesterday at the age of 91.

A native of Västergötland, Sweden, he was born Oct. 24 1866. He was the last surviving charter member of Tabor Lutheran Church where he had served as organist 25 years, was a former choir director, Sunday School superintendent, and an honorary deacon. He was employed as a tailor.

Husband of the late Mrs. Hilma J. Bengston Stone, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Theresia Bennett, with whom he resided, Mrs. Martha V. Schug of Irwin and Miss Edith L. Stone of New Hyde Park, N. Y.; two sons, Conrad A. Stone of Columbus, O., and Rudolph B. Stone of Chicago, Ill.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services in the funeral home Wednesday at 2 p. m. will be followed by services in the church at 2:30 p. m. The Rev. Walter C. Lundberg will officiate and burial will be in McKeepsort and Versailles Cemetery.
