Charles Lee Cotton

  Charles Lee Cotton, 71, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021 at his residence. He was born on April 22, 1950, the son of Richard and Phyllis June (Whitman) Pauley.

  Chuck honorably and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He frequently attended Family Altar Church in Battle Creek, MI.

  He married Karen Kidney in August of 1971, the two have spent 50 loving years together.

  Chuck is survived by his wife, Karen Cotton; three children, Richard Cotton, Kimberly Cotton, Jaime Rupe; Eight Grandchildren, Armando Rupe, Gavin Cotton, Kariss Cotton, Paighton Cotton, Gustavo Rupe, Allison Cotton, Diego Rupe, Amirah Cotton; Sister, Jeanne (Lloyd) Emmons; Brother, David (Mary) Cotton. He was preceded in death by his parents and Grandson, Wesley Cotton.

  Chuck loved to grill. His family always could find him at his grill, making something delicious to eat. He enjoyed making extracts from different foods and collecting everything Coca-Cola. Chuck's main passion in life however were his grandchildren, he enjoyed spending his time with them, making memories and watching them grow.

  A memorial service will take place at the Family Altar Chapel, on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 starting at 11:00 am with Pastor Travis Davis officiating.

  Interment will take place in the Fort Custer National Cemetery.
