Dyre Family Burial Ground Newport
~• Charles is mentioned as having his grave moved from the " near Cypress St". location in 1888. Development of the area necessitated this.
"A close reading of this report seems to indicate that Charles' remains are now in The Common Burying Ground which is either on Farewell and/or Warner Street in Newport, Rhode Island. Together with the Island cemetery these graveyards contain over 5,000 graves, including a colonial-era slave cemetery and Jewish graves. The pair of cemeteries was added to the National Register of Historic Places as a single listing in 1974." adapted from: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Burying_Ground_and_Island_Ceme...
