Charles Hurt
Charles Francis Hurt, 64, of Cathedral City, died Oct. 10, 2005, in Cathedral City of cancer. He was born July 17, 1941, to Wayne F. Hurt and Ann Noroblom in Bremerton, Wash. He was a backhoe operator for more than 18 years and a superintendent for the past three years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Louise M. Hurt of Cathedral City; his daughter, Kacey Hurt Stingle of Port Orchard, Wash.; two sons, Robert Hurt of Kitsap County, Wash., and Charles F. Hurt Jr. of Memphis, Tenn.; a stepdaughter, Susan Stump of Stockton; three stepsons, Ronald, Richard and Steven Kaufmann of Reedsport, Ore.; a sister, Dorothy Dehn of Portland, Ore.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the family home in Cathedral City. Arrangements are under the direction of the Neptune Society. The family suggests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
