Charles David Jarvis

Charles David Jarvis, 60, of 1009 Summit Drive, died Wednesday morning, July 11, 2001, at his residence. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2001 at United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Joe Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Byrd Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, July 12 and 13. Mr. Jarvis will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time on Saturday. Mr. Jarvis was born September 10, 1940 in Houston County, Alabama and lived in Dothan all of his life. He served two years in the Army National Guard. He was employed with Whatley Transportation as a driver for over thirty years until his recent illness. Mr. Jarvis was previously employed with Sunnyland Packing Company and Dothan Oil Mill. He attended United Pentecostal Church. Survivors include his wife, Grace E. Page Jarvis, Dothan; a daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte "Diane" and Craig Hudson, Kinsey; three grandchildren, Charlotte, Heather and Kristy Hudson; his mother, Irene Rathel, Cowarts; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Barbara Fears, Cowarts; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Faye and Alan Johnson, Roberta and "B" Brooks, Kinsey, Mary and Larry Barnheardt, Columbia, Tennessee; a great aunt, Nadine Dunlap, Bonifay, Florida; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews. Mr. Jarvis has no marker.
