Charles Lamson /6 (John /5, Samuel /4, John /3, Samuel /2. William /1), was born at Boston, Mass., June 5, 1815, and died in New York City, N. Y., April 21, 1879. He married Elizabeth Robertson Marshall, daughter of Charles H. and Fidelia (Millmore) Marshall, Feb. 12, 1845, at New York City; she was born in New York City, N. Y., Dec. 24, 1824, and died at Nahant, Mass., Aug. 28, 1890.
Charles Lamson was born and brought up in Boston. He entered his father's firm. Lane, Lamson & Co., Boston, French Importers, and represented them in Paris, when he succeeded his father. He married Elizabeth, daughter of Charles H. Marshall, whose line of New York-Liverpool packet ships (Black Ball Line) made him a member of the firm. He continued the business after the death of Captain Marshall until the time of his death. He was well known and deeply respected in his clubs, and among his friends. A man of sterling qualities, thoroughly loyal and earnest in his patriotism during the Civil War. He was always generous and upright in all his dealings.

810 Elizabeth Marshall /7, b. Jan. 12, 1849, at New York City, N. Y. ; m. Hon. Sir Victor Arthur Wellington Drummond, of Cadlands, Eng., 1882, K. C. M. G., C. B. At the time of her marriage, Mr. Drummond was attached to the British Embassy at Washington. He was knighted later in his diplomatic career. He d. in 1908, and Lady Drummond moved her home from Munich to Paris, where she lived on the Avenue Victor Hugo. She d. there March 25, 1912.
