About Charles George Lareau
Charles became a Catholic Brother (Brother Edward, Passionist Order) right after high school, and was an accomplished cook for the order. After 9 years, he left religious life to enter the U.S. Navy during World War II, where he was a cook aboard submarines. After the war, he served as head of food service operations at a number of universities, then founded his own catering business.
