Charles Allen McKee Passes; Funeral Is Held Wednesday
Charles Allen McKee, 78, died at the home of his daughter Mrs. Paul Burkert Sunday evening.
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon from the Ringo chapel, followed by burial in Belle Passi cemetery. Rev. Stanley Van Winkle of the Hubbard Congregational church officiated.
Burial was beside the body of Mr. McKee's wife, who passed away some 20 years ago.
Mr. McKee was born near McKee station, and all his life was a well-known farmer of that region.
He is survived by a son Ernest R. of Kevin, Montana; daughters Ethel Loron of Silverton and Ruby Burkert of McKee; brothers Edward of Roscoe, Leonard of Goldendale and Wiley of Portland; sisters Ada Miller and Mamie Dodds of Portland, Emma Owen of Bussey, Iowa, Iva Beazon of Tigard and ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Ben Burkert, J. A. Van Cleave, L D Lenon, Harry Rushold, W G Wolfe and F M. Harper. Music was by Mrs. J. S. Van Winkle, accompanied by Mrs. Ann Jack.
