About Charles Mikkelsen
- Reference: MyHeritage Genealogy - SmartCopy: Jun 26 2019, 10:57:24 UTC Charles used his step father's surname of Mikkelsen in official documents, such as his Norwegian Passport and application for Australian Citizenship. Some have nominated Charles Mikkelsen as the unidentified man found dead on the beach at Somerton in Adelade on 1/12/1948. Some believe that he swapped identities with a dead seaman upon the M/V Tirranna after it was attacked by German raider Atlantis in 1940 to avoid internment and / or to avoid deportation.
