

Charles K. Munson, rode as a cavalry soldier with the Illinois 2nd Volunteer Cavalry, Company H for the Grand Union Army of the American Civil War
The funeral of Charles Munson of Herrick was held at the Methodist church Sunday morning, the sermon being preached by Rev. Ed Bowman of Lakewood. Interment was in Knobs cemetery. The man was an old soldier and was 76 years old. He made his home with his daughter at Herrick.
