Bessie Gadd thought he was a mayor in somewhere like Melbourne at some point.

His father Walter came from England in 1851.

His mother Elizabeth came from the UK to South Australia when she was 23 with her father, shortly after her mother died, arriving in 1848. The Reynolds name came from his maternal grandmother’s maiden name and was passed to his son & grandson. One line of her ancestry has been traced back to a William Drewe, born in 1540 in England. Seem to be a lot of geneologists on that side of the family - don't know why, other than a historical book written by Samuel Drew 1824, probably son of 5th Great Grandfather.

He was born in South Australia, married in Victoria and died in NSW.
