Well Known Cherrytree Twp. Resident Passed Away Yesterday Morning
Died 1 February 1922
Charles Walter Tarr, age nearly 50 years, died at his home from,"angina pectoris" he lived in a house on the Buxton Farm near Breedtown at 3:20 a.m. yesterday following a brief illness.
He was born in Cherrytree Township on 13 May 1872 and spent practically all his life in that township.
On 22 September 1906 he was united in marriage with Miss Rose Renninger at Franklin, who survives him with three children, Irvin, Mary and Ruth Tarr all at home.
They lived in various locations in Cherrytree and Oakland Townships, where Charles was employed as a "farmer", "teamster" and "laborer" at Berry Oil Co. and Buxton Oil Co. They had a total of four children.
He also leaves the following brothers and sisters: Daniel Tarr of California, James Tarr of Oil City, Homer Tarr of Cooperstown, William Tarr of Saegertown, Sherman of Dempseytown, Calvin Tarr of Oil City and Mrs. Alice Servey of Cherrytree. Services in his memory will be conducted from the home, Friday at 1:30 p.m. and interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery at Dempseytown.
