Charlotte Nelson

Charlotte was to be the most profoundly affected child of Susan Nelson when Margaret Marchant took the decision to home her with a distant relative, Mrs. Murray with 3 shillings a week for the care of Charlotte. She lived with Mrs Murray for approximate 14 years until she was 16.

Margaret Marchant was proud of Charlotte as evidenced by letters she wrote. Charlotte met one Arthur Avey and married in 1925 and three days later gave birth to a little girl. She was the first to leave Deptford and later became known as the 'posh aunt'.
