Chester Lucian Heston

Lucian & Sue had a son named Chester Lucian 'Chuck' Heston (1903-1955) who m Lila Charlton & became the step-father of Charlton Heston. Charlton took the name Heston as a child, even while attending elementary school in Illinois & although he was never formerly adopted by Chester (it's legal in Illinois to do this). Chester was an excellent archer & was much admired by Charlton. Charlton, born Charlton Carter, later remet his father, Russell Carter from Michigan, and they had a good relationship up to the time of Russell's death in Detroit, Michigan. I once had the opportunity of a telephone conversation with Lila Charlton Carter Heston, who was a very gracious lady then living in Wilmette, IL & she confirmed the Heston lineage as I've given you.
