Zim DN 1107/70 for Christiaan Johannes Fouche Steyn who died on 12 Feb 1970 (the same date given in SAG) does not record the names of his parents. He is said to be 92 years old - the informant is his son JCB Steyn. This suggests that he was born in 1878 - again agreeing with the dates given in the SAG tables.
On the "Notice of the Death of a Person" 431 dated 12 Feb 1970 the cause of death was given as 1. Old age; 2.Cerebral Vascular Accident - CVA; he had been ill for 3 days.
On his DN 1107/70 the names of his wives are not given.Using the SAG information as a guide the following were located -
ZIM DN 16/202 - Anna Susanna Steyn, father Jan Harm Coetzer, died 12 Dec 1914 aged 27 yrs and 9 months ZIM DN 34/51 - Chatorina Elizabeth Susana Steyn, father Johannes Christian Beukes, died 12 Jun 1929 aged 39 years and 1 month ZIM DN Jacoba Johanna Steyn, father Christoffel Jacobus Cronje, died 19 Aug 1952 aged 55 years and 10 days. Her previous husband was Carel Hendrik Wilhelm Nezar

Christian Steyn and Anna Coetzer were both minors on the Henry-Steyn Trek of 1895 - aged 17 and 7 respectively. Anna was the daughter of his cousin.
