moved to Mifflin Co in 1802 Moved from East Whiteland Twp, West Chester, PA to Mifflin Co, PA in l802 (FiJn p 87) (Kauff xi) - In 1814 Christian built a large barn on the north side of Back Mountain Road (still standing today). Many years later his grandson Christian was to build his retirement home next to that original barn. His settlement papers are dated May of 1830. (KaRb)

Son of Jacob Kauffman (1736-1816) and Elizabeth Zug (1744-1786)

m: Anna Yoder Fisher 1791, Chester PA. Anna was dau of Christian Fisher (1727-1766) and Magdalena Rupp Yoder (1724-1772).
