About Christian Meining
Christian Meining was one of the oldest residents of La Porte, Indiana. He died at the age of 76 years. He moved with his parents to La Porte from Germany while a lad. He was the oldest member of the Harrison Street German Methodist Episcopal Church, being one of the founders of the church. When still a boy he came to La Porte and worked at the Fox Woolen Mills as a spinner which position he held for 16 years. Since that time he has been emloyed as a watchman at the Advance-Rumely Co. He is buried at Patton cemetery, La Porte, Indiana
