About Christine Robinson

Christine Robinson (1955 – 2014)

Brief overview:

Christine (58), who was originally from Liverpool, was found dead on Wednesday 30/07/2014 at the Rra Ditau lodge in the picturesque foothills of the Waterberg mountains in the northern Limpopo province.

Provincial Police Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe indicated that the female victim was allegedly stabbed several times, raped and robbed of an undisclosed amount of money at the lodge. Employees discovered her corpse in a pool of blood the following day.

Police were summoned to the scene and initial investigations quickly pointed at the possible involvement of a Zimbabwean by the name of Andrew Ndlovu (29), who was employed by the victim, according to Ngoepe. He was arrested and charged for Christine's murder, and released on bail, and fled back to Zimbabwe. According to reports on Face Book Ndlovu has returned numerous time to South Africa and has not been re-arrested.

On Thursday 30th July 2020, Andrew Ndlovu (30), aka Andrew Druza, a Zimbabwean national, was finally arrested in Johannesburg - Exactly six years after her murder. He had been living and working under his alias 'Druza' for the past four years.

Lehanne Sergison of Bromley, England, says she is relieved, but still in disbelief, about his arrest. "I have so many emotions that are currently washing through me. Unbelievable that he was finally arrested after all these years. Shock that it happened so fast. And yes, relief, that justice will finally be done for my dear aunt,” Sergison told Maroela Media on Friday."

"Ian Cameron of AfriForum, teamed up with former Col. Sakkie Louwrens worked to locate Ndlovu. Louwrens was the investigating officer in Robinson's murder at the time. He has since resigned from the police and is currently head of Bosveld Crime Investigations, an organization in Limpopo that fights crime. Cameron was present when police arrested Ndlovu at his home in Crosby, Johannesburg, at 9pm."
