Christoph Andreas Sass

Christopher Andreas Sass. The Andreas mutates with time to Andrew.

He married Mary Anna Gordon in England in 1811. She died in 1813 age 21.They had one son that died at the age of 17.

He then married Caatjie Engelbrecht in 1816. Caatjie may have been Catherina, or if not Catherina was his third wife. Catherina died in 1855, at Beauty Vale, near Graham's Town, on the 9th October 1855, leaving 4 children at least two of them girls.

Grahamstown Journal Sat 15 Sept DIED, at Theopolis, on the 10th instant (10/9/1849), the Rev. Andrew Christopher SASS, aged 77 years and 5 months, after a long and tedious work of 38 years as a missionary in South Africa leaving a wife and 7 children to lament his loss.
