Claire Anna Wilcox

Claire Anna Wilcox, 86, of Momence, died Thursday, March 19, 1987 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kankakee. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday at the Cotter Funeral Home here with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Momence with the Rev. Denis White officiating. Mrs. Wilcox was born June 26, 1900 in Chicago to Julius and Sophie Zahringer. On Aug. 21, 1926, she married Bernard Wilcox in Chicago. He died Nov. 8, 1979. Surviving are one son, Richard of Grant Park; two sisters, Helen Lorenzen of Orlando, Fla, and Marie Chomer of Elkhart, Ind; one brother, Lawrence of Park Forest; two grandchildren, Elizabeth High and Patricia Ralston, both of Momence, and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Wilcox was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, and one great-grandson. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Momence. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Momence.
