Clara Beeby

Clara Rees was born on the 4th September, 1869 to parent's Charles & Harriet nee Manuel. She died in January, 1961.

Clara married John Beeby, a policeman, professional soldier and carpenter who died in his 60's. He was the eldest son of an English emigrant book-keeper and brother to Sir George Beeby, Chairman of the Federal Arbitration Coutr. Their son, Otto, was an author who had books published.

Clara and John had 2 children:

1. George born 08/08/1902 at Bondi, New South Wales. Died 18/02/1968. He married Alice Duggan (d 14/02/1975) at Balmain, New South Wales, on the 29th September, 1927.

They had 3 children: Phyliss, Janis and Helen.

2. Otto born 11/05/1905 at Bondi, New South Wales. Died 18/06/1981 in Sydney, New South Wales. He married Alice Alexandra Bradley Regent (pidge) (born 25/12/1908 at Tumut). They were married at Kensington on the 15/09/1933 and had 4 children: John, Lloyd, Warren and Phillip.
