Clara J. Hershberger

WALNUT CREEK -- Clara J. Hershberger, 92, of Walnut Hills Retirement Home, Walnut Creek, formerly of Fryburg, died Monday, Feb. 15 2016, at Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg.

She was born in Holmes County on Jan. 19, 1924, to the late Jacob and Catherine (Coblentz) Hershberger and had lived all of her life in this area. She was a retired nurse and a member of the Sonlight Chapel near Maysville.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Delilah Hershberger, who was married to Jacob.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Henry, Eli, Jacob and Isaac; and sisters, Susan (Raymond) Hershberger, Mary Ann (Levi S.) Miller, Edna, Lydia, Katie and Ada.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Sonlight Chapel, 8721 Mount Hope Road, Apple Creek (near Maysville), with the Sonlight ministry officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at Sonlight Chapel. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton, is handling arrangements.
