About Clarence Bule Curtis
Served in the US Army, entered April 17, 1942 at Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a Special Vehicle Operator. Served in Italy, attained the rank of Corporal. He received the American Theater Award, Good Conduct Medal and Victory medal. He served a total of one year, four months and fifteen days overseas. He was honorably discharged on November 7, 1945 at Drew Field, Florida. Buried at Bethel Cemetary, (Pond) Wilwood, Missouri. Burial flag was presented to his only brother.
Clarence loved to fish, play "penny ante" poker with friends and family. He was an avid reader of the Zane Gray books, loved all western movies and tv game shows.
He enjoyed Cardinal baseball, roller derby, boxing and "old time" wrestling.
He was a loving and doting husband, father and especially PAPAW. He is missed everyday.
