About Clarence Melvin Priest
Clarence "Chet" was a very friendly and gregarious person. He worked as a tobacco salesman. His wife Anna worked in sales at Forbes & Wallace Department Store in Springfield, MA.
He and Anna lived in Anna's parent's multifamily house in Indian Orchard for their entire marriage. They had no children. Chet owned a nice waterfront cottage on Otis Reservoir in Otis, Ma. In his younger years he raced his small outboard boat on the Reservoir.
In Springfield he was a Mason and served as President of the Shriner' Band. He played percussion.
He was diagnosed with lung cancer about age 60. Sadly his final 2 years were very difficult.
