Clarice Thiel, 89, Wahpeton, N.D., died Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at St. Catherine’s Living Center, Wahpeton.
Clarice Anna Thiel was born on February 14, 1921 to John and Christine (Golberg) Odegaard at rural Wyndmere, ND. She attended Wyndmere High School and after graduating from high school in 1939 she mWhile in Mooreton, Clarice met Paul Thiel and they were united in marriage on October 12, 1944 in Mantador, ND. The couple farmed on a farm near Mooreton until they retired in 1972. Paul passed away on April 19, 1973 and Clarice continued to live on the farm until 1978 when she moved into Wahpeton. In 1977, she began working for St. Catherine’s Living Center until she retired in 1992.oved to Mooreton, ND to work Clarice was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and enjoyed quilting with the Bethel Ladies Guild, gardening, walking, visiting and traveling.
