Claudia Dean Harlow

CLAUDIA DEAN HARLOW 1929 - 2010 Claudia Dean Harlow, age 80, of Milton, FL, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010. She was born August 10, 1929 in Allentown, FL to the late Leven E. Nelson and Claudis Anna Webb Nelson. Claudia was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She carried a nick name "The Golden Lady," which she had acquired over the CB radio, it fit her perfectly she was truly "The Golden Lady" to have known her. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Ann Harlow. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, USN Ret. Capt. Jack Harlow; a daughter, Kathy (Art) Merlan of Milton, FL; and a son, Robert John (Monica) Harlow, II of LaFayette, LA; three grandchildren, Neal and Curtis Merlan and Jeaniene Harlow; and one great-grandchild, Brycen Harlow. A Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 12 Noon at the Chapel of National Cremation & Burial Society with Brother Ed Norris officiating. Internment will follow in Barrancas National Cemetery at 2 PM with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers, Art Merlan, Neal Merlan, Curtis Merlan, Sam Cobean, John Downey and Duke Vunovich. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, March 22, from 6 until 8 PM. The family would like to thank Covenant Hospice and ask that donations be made to them in honor of Claudia. National Cremation & Burial Society of Milton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
