About Claudius Rex Rainey, {Fictional}

Part of an impossible pedigree -- see https://books.google.com/books?id=ikvt8ZMyDaQC&pg=PA39&lpg=PA39&dq=...

As to why the pedigree is impossible: 1) the names, though possible, are all highly unusual for this time period; maybe 50-100 years later, but not now; 2) the Pope had no reason to put out death warrants on Protestant people living in a Protestant country, and especially not an entire family, including children, so that makes no sense, besides which this would have been such a big deal that it would show up in histories, but no, it doesn't, and 3) the children supposedly, after they all went to America to get away from the mythical Popish Death Warrant, ended up migrating to Georgia -- which wouldn't be founded until 1733, Florida -- which wouldn't belong to the English until 1763; Missouri -- which wouldn't belong to the States until the Lousiana Purchase of 1803; Arkansas -- also part of the Lousiana Purchase of 1803; Illinois -- which was part of the Northwest Territories acquired by the States in the 1780's; and Texas -- which wasn't open to the Anglo-American settlers until 1822, and wasn't acquired by the States until 1844, becoming a state in 1845.
