Originally printed in the Raleigh Register, Beckley, WV Monday Afternoon, January 19, 1959
"PIGG, Cletis: Age 41, of Abney, was killed in a slate fall in the Slab Fork Coal Company mine at Slab Fork, Saturday, January 17th. The body will remain at the Williams and Craven Funeral Home until one hour prior to funeral services. Funeral service will be conducted at 2.p.m. Tuesday, January 19th, in the Coal City Community Church with the Rev. R. H. Doan officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Howard Lester, Alfon Dalton, Clifford McGrady, Junior Meadows, Mason Fink, Crts Blevins, Burt Farley, and Parris Lusk. The Ladies Aid of the Coal City Community Church will serve as flowerbearers. Arrangements by Williams & Craven funeral Home"
