Clinton Drew "Clint" Dempsey (born 9 March 1983) is an American soccer player who plays for Seattle Sounders FC in Major League Soccer. He is the captain of the United States national team. He has also played for New England Revolution and Tottenham Hotspur.
Dempsey was born in Nacogdoches, Texas to Debralynn Dempsey (née Cates) and Aubrey Dempsey.
