Cornelia Dorland

Cornelia de Beauvois is the 5th child of Carel de Beauvois and Sophia van Lodensteyn. The baptismal records of the DRC in New Amsterdam gives he date 3 March 1659 This is clearly a recording/transcription error. Carel de Beauvois and his family left the Netherlands from Amsterdam 17/20 February 1659 and arrived "before" 5 May 1659. (From ships left Netherland to the new world by W. Rebbeler, et al, Maritime Museum Amsterdam) A trip to New Amsterdam took about 6-8 weeks or even longer. There is no way the ship "de Otter" leaving 17/20 February could have arrived by 3 March 1659 Cornelia's baptism was either 3 MAY 1659 or 3 March 1660. Cornelia likely died after birth of her last child in 1696.
