• 9 Willem. The fourth son of Jan Burhans, was baptized at Kingston 7 March 1686, and married at Kingston 22 June 1731, Grietjen Ten Eyck, bap. 10 Feb. 1689, dau. of Matthys Ten Eyck and Jannetje Roosa, and widow of Gerret Newkirk.

• Willem married for second wife, 20 Sept. 1749, at Kingston, Catharina Kool, wid. of Jacobus Van Etten. She was born in Germany, but it has been impossible to ascertain her parents, or to find record of any children by this marriage.

• 1743 Nov. 10. He and his wife, Grietje Newkirk Ten Eyk, make a joint Will in which they leave their property to their children as follows: Cornelis Newkirk J'nr, Matheis Newkirk, Benjamin Newkirk, Coenradt Newkirk, Jannetje Newkirk wife of Gerret Elmendorf, Gerretje Newkirk, and Helena Burhans.
