A wonderful and complete blog. NB: There are a few inaccuracies, but these mainly relate to some of the sources. In the signed treaty from 2nd February 1861 (transcribed by the French in 1994), the S. H. d'Avigdor refers to his full name Salomon Henry d'Avigdor. Nice was signed over to France on 24th May 1860, during the pre-unification of Italy.
