About Curtis Isaac Jackson
Curtis was born in 1751 to Samuel Jackson and Mary Catherine (Plankinhorn) Jackson in Chester County, Pennsylvannia. He died on September 25, 1824, Guilford County, North Carolina.
Curtis and his brothers were among the charter members of the Westfield MM in Surry County, North Carolina. He received a North Carolina grant for 200 acres located on both sides of hte Tom's Creek section of the Yadkin River. He received a100-acre grant on Big Creek of Dan River adjoining the land of his brother,Samuel. He purchased 55 acres from Joseph Jessup and later sold it to Nathan Beals. In 1808, he moved his family to Guilford Co., North Carolina and changed membership to Deep Creek MM.
Curtis first married Elizabeth Shaw and then married Ruth Beales on November 25,1775, in New Garden MM, Guildford County, North Carolina.
Curtis has 3 brothers. One was Samuel.
