Cynthia Rachael Lascelles was born on 29 August 1885.1 She was the daughter of Hon. Gerald William Lascelles and Constance Augusta Mary FitzClarence Phillipson.1] She married George Wentworth Warwick Bampfylde, 4th Baron Poltimore, son of Coplestone Richard George Warwick Bampfylde, 3rd Baron Poltimore and Hon. Margaret Harriet Beaumont, on 10 March 1910.1 She died on 6 September 1961 at age 76.

From 10 March 1910, her married name became Bampfylde. After her marriage, Cynthia Rachael Lascelles was styled as Lady Poltimore on 2 November 1918.
