Cyril Daniel Hardick Cyril Daniel was the eldest son of five brothers and two sisters. His lineage to the top of the Hardick tree was: Father: A1B2C2D2 Johan Wilhelm Hardick (1882 to 1954) and Magdalena Jacoba GOSLETT (1886 to 1958)

Great grandfather: A1B2, Johan Pieter Hardick 1818 to 1915 and his wife: Johanna Susanna ISAAKSE 1835. Great, great grandfather: Tree Father 1, Johan Pieter Hardick A1, 1775 to 1849 and his wife: Tree Mother, Christina Petronella DEMPERS 1788. His siblings were: E2 Rozetta Winifred BROPHY (born Hardick), E3 Walter Edwin Hardick, E4 Aubrey Edwin Hardick, E5 Joyce Edna KINNEAR (born Hardick), E6 Vincent John Hardick and E7 Jack Hardick. Cyril was married to Dorris Irene Hardick (born FOOTMAN). The family remembers Dorris’ birthday as 27th of June about. The family say it was about the year 1914 (See note 1) Doris died May 9, 1982. She was buried in the Maitland cemetery, Western Cape, South Africa. She survived Cyril when he died on Jan 20 1964 at the age of 53 years and the cause of death was lung cancer.

The above pictures represent Cyril Daniel and Dorris Irene Hardick. The third picture shows the last address of Dorris Hardick, 3 Eden Road, Observatory, before she passed on. They had four sons: F1 William Daniel, F2 Anthony Gordon, F3 Ralph Kennith and F4 Michael Eric. (Note 1.) Cyril was 24 years of age when William Daniel was born. Let us assume his wife was about 21 years which makes her date of birth about 1914. She lives approximately for 68 years. This is the grave of Cyril Daniel Hardick and Dorris Irene Hardick (born Footman), the cremation remains of their eldest son William Daniel (Bill) Hardick and their grandson David Anthony Hardick. The picture on the left is the grave after vandalism took place in the Maitland Cemetery, Cape Town, South Africa and after the family cleaned up the grave. I found that normally, the date of death is on average 2 days earlier and in this case I would say Doris Irene passed away on Sunday, May 9, 1982.
