About Daisy Mary Hardy
Obituary
Mrs. W.J. Hardy of Albion, after a painful illness of several months, passed away Friday night and was buried from the Florenceville Church Sunday, the funeral being conducted by Rev. Smith of Cresco.
Besides her husband she leaves three little girls deprived of a mother's care as well as her parents, one brother and two sisters, a large number of relatives in the vicinity and hosts of friends that mourn her loss, for Daisy Crowell Hardy was well beloved. The funeral was far the largest ever held in the valley. TYhe splendid white casket was decked with many flowers and a beautiful garland placed there by the Woodmen. Preceding the hearse was a snow white floral car drawn by cream ponies with white harness. At the grave after the casket was lowered on a bed of buds and blossoms, six lady pall bearers placed a flower bedecked catafalque over the grave and thus closed from sight of mourning friends all that was mortal of one of the best beloved and best known, although young, in this vicinity.
The expense of the floral tributes is borne by the Woodmen.
