About Dame Marie de Livenne

Information:

Charles de Livenne , Squire, lord, Motte-St-Genis and St-Martin-d'Entraigues. (DS) On May 31, 1558, Charles André, parish priest of St-Amant de Nouère, left him before Maquelilan, notary at Angoulème, as father of Christophe, universal legatee of François de Livenne, parish priest of Bredon, the usufruct of the succession of the latter, by means of 10 bushels of wheat and 10 bushels of annual yield. (Arch Char E.1889.) He had died before 9 November. 1566, when René de la Faye obtained from the presidium of Angoulème a sentence ordering the division of his property. He had married twice: 1st. with Jeanne de Ponthieu. 2nd, by contract of 9 July 1553 with Renée de la Faye, lady of the Garenne (Genealogy of La Faye.) He had the first bed:

1 ) Francoise lady of St-Martin-d'Entraigues, married, by contract of 24 July 1570, her cousin Charles de Livenne, sgr of Verdille (Carrés de d'Hozier, 388.) 2 ) Christophe, Ec. universal legatee of his uncle François de Livenne, parish priest of Bredon;

of the second bed: 3 ) Francis, who follows: 4 ) Marguerite, married to Guillaume de Moulins, Squire, who died before June 24, 1616; 5 ) Mary, who married Etienne de Livenne, Squire, lord of Vouzan. (§ VII, degree 4).
