Dan L. Hershberger

Millersburg - Dan L. Hershberger, 65, of 3850 Township Road 655, Millersburg, died at his home on Friday evening, April 2, 2021 following a 16 month battle with cancer.

He was born in Holmes County on July 2, 1955 to the late Levi D. and Effie A. (Yoder) Hershberger and married Esther N. Troyer on June 10, 1976 and she survives.

He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Nelson (Ida) Hershberger, Edna (Ervin) Weaver, Wayne (Mary) Hershberger and Abe (Clara) Hershberger, all of Fredericksburg, Alma (Freeman) Hershberger of the home, Miriam (Daniel) Keim of Fredericksburg, Esta (Wes) Swartzentruber of Millersburg, Dan Jr. (Mariann) Hershberger and Levi (Edna) Hershberger, both of Fredericksburg and Mattie (Jonas) Hershberger of Millersburg; 67 grandchildren; brothers, Roy (Anna) Hershberger, and Jonas (Ida) Hershberger; sisters, Anna (Jacob) Mast, Mary (Harry) Miller, Alma Hershberger, and Sevilla (David) Swartzentruber; mother-in-law, Mattie Troyer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant twin brother and sister; and father-in-law, Nelson Troyer.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021 at 9:30 am at the family residence with Bishop Paul J. Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Mast Cemetery, Paint Township, Holmes County. Friends may call anytime on Saturday or Sunday at the family residence. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling the arrangements.
