Daniel S. Peña Sr. (born August 10, 1945), also known as Dan Pena, is an American businessman and high-performance business coach, born in Jacksonville, Florida. Today, he resides at Guthrie Castle in Scotland. Peña is prominent for his seven-day Castle Seminar on Quantum Leap Advantage (QLA) Methodology and is regarded as the 50 billion dollar man. He is the author of book, Your First Hundred Million Biography

After service in the US Army in which he left as an officer in 1969, he received a BS degree in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge (CSUN) in 1971.

Upon leaving college, he worked in real estate, and then joined Paine, Webber, Jackson & Curtis and subsequently Bear Stearns. After that, he was President and CEO of Kennedy Industries Inc. and then Chairman of JPK Industries, Inc.

In 1982, he founded Great Western Resources Inc. (GWRI) with $820, a Houston-based natural resource company. When he left the company in 1992, the company had a public market capitalization of over £300 million british pounds/ $450 million dollars. Peña owned around 10 percent shares of GWRI when he left in 1992. He was ousted by the company's board of directors, which he later sued and won $4.3 million in actual damages for refusing to pay his employment contract.

In 2003, after nearly twenty years of work, Peña made Guthrie Castle available for public bookings. The grounds also contain a golf course which Peña wanted to be very difficult to play.

Peña is founder and Chairman of The Guthrie Group, an investment consortium, incorporated on the Channel Islands in 2002 and named after Guthrie Castle in Scotland.

Peña also has business interests in the Philippines, where he is Founder and Chairman of iZone Technologies.

In 2009, an alleged fraud was charged against one of his companies in India, but the case was dropped, and his company was cleared of all charges. Cyber crime police asked the court to treat it as mistake of facts.

He has been a featured guest on multiple podcast such as London Real TV, Bulletproof and Nextshark and continues to do guest shows. In April 2014, he was a featured guest on London Real TV. In May 2015, he was featured in an article by INC wherein he gives important insights for success. In May 2016, he was a featured guest by the Oxford Entrepreneurs which was held at Oxford University.

Dan Pena also has his own series of podcasts called The Quantum Leap Advantage which features his QLA Seminars and other free content. He has also launched Reflections & Confessions of the 50 billion dollar man, Ask the 50 billion dollar man and Dan responds to bullshit. His podcasts can be found in both Podbean and on iTunes. He has also launched his own radio show entitled : "Live, Uncut, Raw, Unfiltered Ask the 50 billion dollar man"

On September 11, 2016, the Sunday Business Post published an article entitled: "Coughlan joins Trump backer Pena's nursing home group" wherein it highlighted a recent video recorded by London Real Academy last March. The video, which Dan Pena advised viewers about success habits, also highlighted his support and backing for Donald Trump wherein he predicted that if Donald Trump is elected president - he is going to "rock the planet."

Works

In 1997, he self-published the autobiographical book Build Your Own Guthrie through a company controlled by him, Great Wisdom Publishing, which had been a subsidiary of International Media Holdings, Inc. (IMH, formerly Success Development International, SDI), where he was a majority shareholder.

In 1999, the British mail-order entrepreneur Stuart Goldsmith, through his company Medina Ltd, published a revised edition of that book under the title Your First 100 Million, which they offered for £277. The Second Edition of Your First Hundred Million has been released in July 2009 selling at $197.00 USD.

In April 2014, Dan Pena continued to share his knowledge by publishing Dan Pena’s $50 Billion QLA eBook, a free eBook, wherein he shows how he through his mentees and devotees created $50 Billion in equity and value, since 1993.

He also published a special edition of his book Your First Hundred Million in the Romanian language in dedication to his many loyal followers from Romania. This new version of the book can be downloaded from his website, danpena.com. All of the content at his website is FREE to the public.

Controversy

On May 2, 2016, Opportunity Charter School in Harlem, New York reportedly rescinded an offer for Mr. Pena to speak in the school due to his endorsement of Donald Trump. In what has been described as discrimination against political views, Mr. Pena reiterated the fact that he had spoken at Oxford University after the incident with no issues. He has been interviewed in the Scott Adams Radio Show about this matter

On the recent Larry Elders and Dennis Prager nationally syndicated radio show, an anonymous Joe, voiced his displeasure about the Opportunity Charter School in Harlem, New York, on both programs. Larry Elder compared the incident to Connie Rice being shunned away due to political correctness in which he described it as: "Outrageous."

Mentorship program of Dan Pena can be described as tough which was described by a recent mentee, Kelvin, who had the QLA, tattooed on his arm and five credos on his other arm.
