About Daniel Arnold, Jr
Born 1763, in Maryland's Frederick County. He resided in 1781 in Pennsylvania's Greene County as a single freeman who owned one horse. He may have resided in 1790 with his father Daniel. He purchased 184.5 acres of land on 1791 Oct 02 along Maryland's Tenmile Creek from Jacob Burge. He was married during the 1780s somewhere to Hannah Redd. They resided on his farm along Tenmile Creek. He & Hannah sold this land on 1799 Jun 26 to George Shokar, and then relocated to Ohio's Jefferson County, where they purchased land on 1799 Sep 16. Daniel appears in Jefferson County's Greene Township on tax lists for 1806, 1812, and 1816. He died on 1823 Apr 23 in Ohio's Jefferson County. He recorded his last will and testament beforehand on 1823 Feb 21 in Ohio's Jefferson County, and it was proved on 1823 Apr 28. It willed his farm to Hannah until his youngest son Solomon reached age 21, after which it directed his farm to be sold, with 1/3 of its money given to Hannah while the remaining 2/3 would be divided equally among his ten children
