Daniel B Bland was born on July 11, 1877, son of James Bland (1844-1925) and Rebecca E (Bowen) Bland (1846-1891). He was known as "Donnie".

He is the brother of M. G. Bland (1866-1930); William "W.B." Bird Bland (1868-1945); Macyan K (Bland) Bird (1870-?); Susan L (Bland) Scott (1872-1898); Jincy (Bland) Kennedy (1875-1896); Lawrence Allen Bland (1879-1943); Aden B Bland; Elliot B Bland (1883-?) and Lilly Bland (1885-1890) and half brother of Kidron (Bland) Alderman (1896-1982); James Bland, Jr. (1903-1948) and Gibsey (Bland) Daves (1906-1979).

He became the husband of Eva Waters (1883-1955). On Sept. 12, 1918, Daniel Bland of 3 RFD, Statesboro, Bulloch County, GA, completed his U.S. WW I Registration card for the local board in Statesboro. He described himself as medium height and build and listed his wife as nearest relative. His occupation was a farmer.

On October 20, 1953, Daniel "Donnie" B Bland, age 76, died in Bulloch County, Georgia with burial in Brooklet Cemetery, Brooklet, Bulloch County, Georgia.
