About Daniel East
Murdered his two youngest children, David aged 3 and Frederick William aged 8 months, by slitting their throats. He was convicted of willful murder but not guilty on the grounds of insanity. He was committed to the Broadmoor Asylum for the Criminally Insane, as it was known at the time. He died at Broadmoor in 1911. See timeline for further details.
