His tombstone says he died in 1805 but his estate was appraised in 1803. He donated the land for the burying ground of St. John's Church. Son of Gerhand Etter born 27 Jan 1717/18 in Bern, Switzerland, died 26 April 1783 in Lancaster Co. Pa. and Catherine Banga born 26 Oct 1717 in Bern, Switzerland and died 20 Apr 1788 in Lancaster County. Daniel served as a Fife and Drummer during the Revolutionary War. He married Mary Magdalena Rein 25 April 1781 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Lebanon, Pa. issue: Catherine m. Henry Rader, Mary m. John Laughner, John m. Phoebe Michaels, Henry m.
