Another Pioneer Laid to Rest Last Tuesday
Daniell Lust,61,Town of Gillett, Farmer, Passed Away After Short Illness, Funeral Services Held Tuesday
Daniel Lust passed away at his home on Friday, April 8th at 12:30 pm The immediate cause of his death being cancer.
The funeral serveces were held at the Lutheran church in the town of Gillett. Tev. EWians officiating, Tuesday, April 12 at 1:30 pm at the church.
Deceased was 61 years, 4 months, and 20 days old. The deceased was born November 18, 1870 in Buffalo, NY. Moved with his parents to the state of Pensylvania. At the age of four years his parents again moved to Manawa, Wisconsin. At this plas he resided for twenty three years. Was united in Marriage to Miss Wilhelmina Krause of Bonduel, Wis. Resided in Bonduel for two years, then moved on a farm near Belle Plaine, After four years he again moved to his present farmin the town of Gillett. The township was then a wilderness. Undaunted by the hardships the young couple encountered, together with their children conquered the forest, planted their grain and seedsm today they have a model farm. Dan, as he was formerally calledm was of a genial dipositionm always pleasant, kind to his family and friends, a hard worker. Dan belonged tothe old school and he practiced those principles which he carried to the grave. His word toa deed once given was better than another's bond.
The union was blessed with sixteen children of which fifteen are living, Mrs. E.H. Kohn and Louis of this village, Mrs. John Gallagher adn Augusta of Chicago Ill., William an Carl of Appleton, Alvin of Kaukauna, Freda, Laura, Edward, Almond, Raymond, Johanna and Viola at home. Gesided the grief stricken family he leaves to mornhis loss one brother, four sisters, and Fourteen grand children.
The pallbearers were Paul Newman, Frank Kohn, Henry Schleussel, Fred Schneider, Aug. Eggebrecht and Albert Reinke.
The Flower girls were Norma Rusch, Ethel, Marvis and Lillykohn, Anita and Carol Lust The many beautiful flowers shows the high esteem deceased held in this community.
