About Dato Mohamed Bin Mahbob (Menteri Besar Johor ke2)

Dato 'Mohamed Bin Dato' Mahbob born in 1852, he contributed significantly in the education sector in Johor. Throughout his tenure of service with the Department of Education, a total of 89 Malay schools, four English school, 22 of Chinese and 2 of Tamil school have been established. Upon enactment of the lesson passed in 1902, Dato 'Mohamed and Mohd Khalid has acted to enforce the law. In enactment, the parent or guardian is required to send their children 7-16 years of age to school. Anyone who fails to do so will be fined a sum of RM25.00 or imprisonment for three months.
