David Lorenz Alampay

The last time I saw David was back on June, 1982, in San Francisco, CA. He was running a vacumn cleaning service and though very busy, he was able to pick me up at the residence of my host,( then-Philippine Consul General Romeo Arguelles, now Philippine Ambassador to the Hague, and former Con-Gen New York in the Eighties and later Amb. to Japan!) and took me to a good Bay breakfast at Fisherman's Wharf! - Uncle Dani Aguila.

  I met his family at Alampay reunions. The most memorable was having his wife Cecilia join us for a Mother's Day dinner, hosted by her cousin Patricia "Pat" A. Sugue-Naparstek,

in Chicago, May, 2001 or 2002.

  Their oldest dotter Ramona was featured as a cover story in Filipinas magazine, this past Summer, and ran her profile as a creative jewelry designer based in Florida! Dad David is smiling proudly from somewhere up there!
