I followed your directions and took my GPS unit with me to pinpoint the location. I have some pics if anyone is interested. Here are my directions:</p><p><p>Go 2.9 miles on KY 986 and turn left on Gimlet Cr. Then go approx. 1 mile, staying on Gimlet Cr. At this point you can only go left or right. Turn left on the gravel road and go approx. 1/10th of a mile to a pull off on the left. Here you will see a large bale of hay blocking theonly gravel road going up the hill. Park here and walk past the bale approx. 1/8 of a mile to a red gate. This is the cemetery. I found John McFarland's (1817-1894) grave and have a pic. The cemeterylooks cared for and there are more than 30 graves with several unmarked.</p><p>If you continue on past where you pulled off to park your vehicle another 1/10 of a mile, you will see on the left the old Flat Lick one room schoolhouse just across the creek. The house at this location is owned by Ricky Lowe. He is ill at this time and probably can't answer the door if you were to knock. Thanks to everyone for helping me find my GGGrandfather's grave.
