David Ephraim COHEN

Entered into eternal rest on the evening of October 30, 2001, David E. Cohen, husband of Ann Wolf Cohen, residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. David E. Cohen are invited to attend the funeral services of the former Friday at 11 o'clock in Emanu-El Cemetery "Maryville." Mr. Cohen was born August 30, 1914 in Charleston, SC, the son of Jacob Cohen and Jenny Friedman Cohen. He was a retired Sales Representative with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and a LifeTime Member of Million Dollar Round Table for Life Insurance Persons. He was a member of Emanu-El Synagogue and Brith Sholom Beth Israel. He was a member of Charleston Elks Lodge #242, Friendship Lodge #9 A.F.M., Jewish War Veterans and Past President of Synagogue Emanu-El. He served on the Destroyer USS Richard P. Leary in the South Pacific during World War II. He is survived by his wife of Charleston, SC; two sons, Larry D. Cohen and Stuart L. Cohen both of Charleston, SC; one daughter, Sandy C. Taffel of Atlanta, Ga.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; five sisters, Tillie C. Lehrman of Charleston, SC, Dot Cohen of New York, Sylvia C. Klarer of New York, Rose C.
